| Description | Information & Assistance Specialists are available to connect citizens with programs and community resources. 1(800)243-6060 or https://www.agingahead.org/ *Senior Centers for adults age 60 and older: provides meals, socialization and physical activity and recreation. *Adult Day Services: Respite for caregivers and socialization for adults needing daytime supervision. *Meals on Wheels: volunteers deliver meals to eligible homebound adults aged 60 and older. *Speakers Bureau: Provides speakers on a variety of subjects for senior citizens clubs and community organizations. Family Caregiver Support: In-home assessment to determine service needs include: respite, adult day care, transportation, incontinence items, nutritional supplements, adaptive equipment, etc. *Transportation: group transportation to most senior centers and essential medical & shopping trips. *Legal Support: Contracted attorneys and/or paralegals assist senior citizens with entitlement programs (Food Stamps, Social Security, Etc); also CLAIM Program (Medicaid/Medicare). *Vial of Life: Contains emergency medical information for police, etc. *Offers energy assistance for senior citizens.
